In 2013, after a few years of writing essays here for copyeditors and writers, I stopped posting, mainly from fear of repeating myself. You were so good to keep coming back—I didn’t want to bore you.
Since then, I've continued to edit the monthly Q&A at The Chicago Manual of Style Online, answering readers’ questions about Chicago style. And I still see you on Facebook and Twitter.
Now, starting this week, I’ll be popping up regularly at the brand-new Chicago Manual of Style Online blog in the “Editor’s Corner.”
So come to the CMOS blog! There will be interviews with people in publishing, help for students, fun features, and community chats about popular editing issues. We’re hoping for reader engagement and feedback. I’ll post notices here when we update with something of interest. This week you can read my interview with the fabulous Mary Norris, longtime copyeditor at the New Yorker and author of Between You and Me: Confessions of a Comma Queen.
I’m happy to be writing about editing again. I even have my own avatar! (What do you think? Are my teeth a little scary? And what would you call the expression on my face . . . )
