In paperback or for the Kindle:
Moonlight Blogger contains 84 essays posted at the Subversive Copy Editor blog from May 2010 to July 2011. Most are no longer accessible at the site (because I haven’t figured out how to fix that). The book includes practical copyediting and word-processing tips, bits of copyediting humor, and more thoughtful posts on getting along with colleagues and surviving the “new publishing” age.
The printed book makes a handy, portable collection and an inexpensive but possibly perfect gift for writers, teachers, editors, or anyone who follows the Subversive Copy Editor online. What’s more, the printed, indexed (!) handbook will endure long after I stop paying my Web host to maintain this site.
Focusing on the age-old problems and quandaries of writers and editors through the lens of my years of editing for the University of Chicago Press, these essays should remain relevant and helpful for a good long while.
